What are the CRI-600 Wireless Headphones?
The CRI-600 is a pair of wireless over-ear headphones from Centerpointe Research Institute, the company behind Holosync meditation audio. Unlike general-purpose headphones, the CRI-600 was designed around one goal: delivering the most accurate, immersive, and comfortable Holosync and meditation experience possible, while still handling everyday music, calls, and audiobooks.
It is the newest in Centerpointe’s line of listening hardware, following the CRI-300 wired over-ear headphones (2015), the CRI-400 wired earbuds (2019), and the CRI-500 wireless earbuds (2023) — each refined by what the last generation taught. The CRI-600 is described by Centerpointe as the only wireless over-ear headphones tested and approved across the full Holosync catalog.
Why the right headphones matter for Holosync
Holosync uses binaural beats: a slightly different tone is delivered to each ear, and the brain perceives the difference between them as a single pulsing beat at a target frequency. Two things determine whether that works well. First, clean stereo separation — each ear must receive its own tone, which is why entrainment audio needs headphones or earbuds rather than a speaker. Second, the ability to reproduce the low frequencies the technology relies on: Holosync’s carrier tones sit near the bottom edge of hearing, and many headphones quietly roll those low frequencies off, thinning out the signal before it reaches you.
The CRI-600 was built to address both. Its drivers are tuned so the full Holosync signal arrives intact, with nothing thinned out at the low end, and its active noise cancelling removes the surrounding hum that competes with quiet listening. In other words, it is not that Holosync only works with these headphones — any standard stereo headphones will produce the effect — but that the CRI-600 is engineered specifically to reproduce it as fully as possible.
What makes the CRI-600 different
Plenty of noise-cancelling headphones exist, and many sound excellent for music. What sets the CRI-600 apart is that it was tuned for meditation rather than adapted to it. Its 40mm neodymium drivers carry a 4 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response — a wider low-end reach than typical consumer headphones — chosen specifically so Holosync’s low carrier content is reproduced rather than lost. That is the practical difference: the tones arrive whole, close, and steady.
This reflects audio engineering Centerpointe has done since 1989 — more than 35 years of building meditation audio, and over a decade of building the hardware to deliver it, generation after generation. Where a name-brand pair is tuned to impress in a showroom, the CRI-600 is tuned for the way people actually meditate: long sessions, low volumes, and deep quiet. For the listener, the payoff is simple — you reach for one pair of headphones that honors your practice and still handles your commute, your calls, and your music.
Key features
Active noise cancelling, four modes. A single button cycles through Transparency (lets outside sound in so you stay aware of your surroundings), Noise Cancelling Low (a gentle dampening for home, office, or cafe), Noise Cancelling High (the deepest quiet, recommended for Holosync sessions, flights, and focused work), and Off (which uses less battery). A soft tone confirms each change.
Wireless or wired. Connect over Bluetooth 5.1 (AAC and mSBC codecs), or use the 3.5mm analog input for a wired connection if you prefer (aux cable not included).
Built for long sessions. The ear cups rotate to match the shape of your head, and soft, durable, lightweight materials are designed to stay comfortable well past the point where typical headphones start to pinch — so a full 30- to 60-minute session never has to end early.
Everyday ready. A built-in microphone handles calls clearly and works with Siri or Google Assistant, and the same drivers that serve meditation deliver clean, detailed sound for music and audiobooks.
All-week battery. Up to 30 hours of listening with noise cancelling on — enough for a week of daily sessions on a single charge — with a full recharge over USB-C in under two hours and up to 500 hours of standby.

What’s in the box
Every CRI-600 order includes the headphones and a USB-C charging cable (any standard USB-C cable and USB power source will also work). A 3.5mm aux cable for wired listening is not included.
Setup, controls, and care
Most people are paired and listening within two minutes of opening the box. Hold the center power button for about five seconds until the red and blue lights alternate, then select CRI-600 in your device’s Bluetooth settings; the light turns solid blue when connected. To pair a new device, hold the power button for about ten seconds until the lights flash rapidly. On the headphones, one press of the power button plays or pauses and answers or ends calls, a double-press triggers your voice assistant, the volume buttons also skip tracks when held, and the ANC button cycles listening modes.
To care for them, wipe the ear cups with a soft, dry cloth after use, and keep them out of direct sunlight, extreme heat, and humidity. They handle light sweat but are not waterproof, so do not submerge them. If anything ever behaves oddly, a factory reset — holding Volume Up and Volume Down together for about five seconds — resolves most issues.
Getting the most from your sessions
Centerpointe’s own guidance for meditation and Holosync listening is worth following. Use Noise Cancelling High for sessions — it removes the low hum of daily life (traffic, air conditioning, a refrigerator in the next room) so there is nothing for the mind to push against. Set the volume lower than you think you need: Holosync tracks are engineered to work at gentle levels, and a quieter volume often produces a deeper experience because the nervous system is not bracing against the sound. Starting around 30 percent and adjusting from there is a good rule of thumb.
Give yourself the full 30 to 60 minutes; the CRI-600 is built for long sittings, so you should not need to take it off early. And because a single 30-hour charge covers roughly a week of daily sessions, charging on a predictable rhythm — Sunday evenings, for example — keeps the headphones ready whenever you are.
